The Golden City

The Golden City - John Twelve Hawks That was a pretty lame ending.

So... correct me if I'm wrong, but Michael and Gabriel died, right? (Or can you even die in the fire barrier?) Or are they just sitting in that place? Also, I thought that Alice was going to die a few times there *whew* so glad she survived. I feel like I just watched a horror movie. Also, Vicki was my second-favorite character and then after she died *sniffs* I had to make that Alice. But still, Matthew Corrigan turned out to be a pretty wimpy character and I really don't like the ending. That's all.

This series reminded me of [b:I am Number Four|7747374|I Am Number Four (Lorien Legacies, #1)|Pittacus Lore|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1305807140s/7747374.jpg|10576999] and [b:Little Brother|954674|Little Brother (Little Brother, #1)|Cory Doctorow|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1349673129s/954674.jpg|939584] a lot. But for different reasons. I am Number Four/i> also had a lot of the identity-changing, paranoid thriller themes, and Little Brother also had the anti-privacy antagonists and stalker technology and all that. Meh.
